Bacon Wrapped Shrimp with Bourbon Sauce - Southern Grace Gourmet

From one of my favorite and cooking blogs:

This is a delicious dish perfect as an appetizer or main course. We had bacon wrapped shrimp at two of our favorite restaurants on our recent trip to Gatlinburg over the Christmas holiday. My son loved them so much, I decided to recreate them at home.

Soy-Ginger Marinated Flank Steak – Cookin’ Canuck

The dog days of summer have arrived. For some, that is signified by the smell of grilling hot dogs and hamburgers. For others, it’s the sound of the ice cream truck. For me, it is the process of marinating and grilling a flank steak. There is just something about it that urges me to shuck some corn, whip up some lemonade, and send the kids out into the sprinklers (okay, sometimes I like to join them, too).

Pioneer Woman’s Jalapeno-Bacon Poppers – Cookin’ Canuck

I agree with Pioneer Woman; I have no idea what to call these…”thingies”. All I know is that they are so good that I might trade my first born for a platter of them. The juices of the bacon seep down into the and are a perfect foil for the subtle spice of the jalapeno peppers.

Mmm…moment of silence, please…

Salmon Cilantro Burgers – Tasty Eats at Home

More burgers! I love burgers but a salmon twist is good to me!

So the other day, I’m flipping through my magazines and MyRecipes.com, looking for easy . (This is a recurring theme on the weekend for me, just prior to the weekly grocery trip.) I came across this recipe. A recipe that for whatever reason, I would normally pass by without a second glance. – Salmon Cilantro Burgers « Tasty Eats At Home.

Basic Barbecue Sauce – Serious Eats – Recipes

Now here’s an idea! I love barbecue sauce on everything, maybe a homemade version will be good!

Although I love of all types, the standard around my house is still the tomato-based variety that’s ingrained in our collective American consciousness. While choices of sauce abound at any local megamart, I’ve yet to find one that rivals making my own from scratch. – Grilling: Basic Barbecue Sauce | Serious Eats : Recipes.

Smoky Grilled Asparagus – Cookin’ Canuck

More asparagus ideas!

My fridge has been filled and re-filled with asparagus over the last couple of weeks.  I’m usually quite content to toss it with olive oil, salt and pepper, and throw it on the grill.  -  Cookin’ Canuck: Smoky Grilled Asparagus.
